Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer online counseling?

I am currently only offering online sessions.

What are your hours?

Typically 11am- 6pm MST Monday-Thursday and 10am-1pm on Fridays

How long are sessions?

50 minutes

Do you take insurance?

I do not currently take insurance. However, I provide a superbill at the end of each month that my clients submit to their insurance to get reimbursement for out of network benefits.

Why would I choose to pay private pay instead of using my insurance benefits?

Client's choose me instead of someone who takes insurance because I am really able to get to the core of what's going on. By not accepting insurance, I am able to take on a smaller caseload which allows me to devote all my focus to the needs of my clients without the constant back and forth between insurance companies. I find that this leads to providing the best service for the best results. Additionally, if I take insurance I am required to make a diagnosis and that can follow you around for a long time as it's always on file.

How do I set up an initial appointment?

What is your cancellation policy?

I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. As long as you text, email, or call me within that timeframe you will not be charged for the session. If there is a late cancel, I do charge the full amount for the session as I am typically unable to fill that spot in such short notice.

How much paperwork do I have to fill out?

I send the paperwork electronically so you do not have to print anything out. It should only takes about 15 minutes to fill out.

What can I expect in a first session?

I will start by exploring your current struggle as well as past life experiences in order to get to know you better. This first session is really about foundation building so we can get to the core of what is causing you to feel stuck and distressed.

What is your approach?

I am relational in my approach, meaning I work to establish authentic connection with my client's to build the trust in the relationship. I bring my personality into the sessions to create a comfortable, safe, and non-judgmental environment.

Will I have homework?

Only if you want!

How often will we need to have a session?

I recommend starting off with weekly or biweekly session

Tell me something fun about yourself!

I love to camp, hike, and snowboard in my off time!
